However, here are a few more indicators to know whether or not someone is hiding a sinister secret under their hazmat suits. Keep an eye out for people who start to suddenly follow you around. The maps are very small and the rooms are often connected by narrow hallways. It stands to reason that you’ll often run alongside a person or two. However, Impostors tend to be a bit erratic; instead of walking directly to certain rooms to complete tasks (since they can’t actually perform most of them), they will often change directions suddenly. If you see someone walking towards a certain direction, and they change their course to follow you when you pass by, then keep running and find another crewmate ASAP as this person might be the Impostor. Make sure you fake doing the tasks that aren’t visible: We mentioned some of the areas where tasks are visible in our previous article. As an impostor, you have to make sure to avoid those areas/tasks as far as possible. Have an alibi ready always. When accused on the chat, have something ready in your defence. If possible, try to make it as explanatory as possible. Suppose you say on chat that you were in a particular room when you were actually not and someone accuses you with proof, you are done for.
To strategically use the Vent system, Impostors should exit a room through the Vent immediately after killing a Crewmate. This will get the Impostor far away from the body before it can be discovered. However, if a Crewmate saw the Among Us Impostor entering the room with the dead body and not exiting it, this plan can backfire and get the Impostor ejected. One way to improve this strategy may be to only enter and exit the room through the Vents, but it is still possible a Crewmate will notice. An Impostor will be safest using the Vents when they are alone in rooms and no one is using the security cameras. Impostor players should also know that Crewmates in other rooms can see when a Vent is used, but they cannot see who used it. Crewmates can also see when the Vent is used if the Impostor shuts the door. However, they don’t see the color or name of the player who used it. Impostors may want to consider shutting the door before using the Vent as an added layer of protection.
Try to make a plan and crowd kill. This is because in some situations it might be tough for a single imposter to kill many detective crew members. Thus it will be beneficial for you to crowd kill. You can pretend to be fixing the lights and can easily stab them with a knife. The trick here is that since other players are also near the dead body, you accuse them of being an imposter before they can raise an alarm. The confusion created in such a manner will keep you from being detected as an imposter.
How To Play Among Us game? The game requires 4-10 players and places them in astronaut gear of spaceship crew. Among these crewmates, one or sometimes three crew members are “imposters” who aim to kill the crewmates, whereas the other crew members want to escape unharmed. In order to win the game, the crewmates have to avoid being killed and complete their given tasks, which have been assigned to them in the three maps of the game.
